Knowledge is power. I'll repeat that statement "Knowledge
is power."
Corporate leaders throughout the U.S. acknowledge diversity
is a business imperative. How does this affect you?
The fact the U.S. population recently exceeded 300 million
citizens let's you know you'll be working in a more diverse
workforce in the future. In order to position yourself to
capitalize on the knowledge and improve your organization's
bottom line, learn everything you can about the dynamic
field of diversity.
The three emerging groups that will change the face of the
workforce include, Hispanics, African-Americans, and
Asians. Being able to speak the languauge of these emerging
groups will pay dividends if and only if a company knows
how to speak their language thereby capitalizing on
emerging markets.
Encourage your company or organization to bring in a
diversity expert and or diversity-train-the-trainer. You
don't have to look very far, I'm a certified
diversity-train-the-trainer and work with Fortune 500
companies, associations, military, government organizations
and educational institutions.
